Sivan Pillay is the CEO of 360 Degrees South focused on creating and producing Media Content Solutions for Television, Branded Content, AI assisted content and Short Format content globally
He is also the founder of Zero Gravity TV and Media with over 30 years of experience in Music and Television.
360 Degrees South is Media Company focused on Technology, Digital and Content Media production company that is focused on Creative Development, Production and Distribution of IP for Broadcast and Digital locally and globally.
Pillay joined Endemol SA in 2000 and appointed Head of Commercial and Digital business in 2004, then promoted to MD of Endemol South Africa in 2008. After the Endemol-Shine global merger, Pillay was appointed CEO of Endemol Shine Africa.
For 8 years as CEO, Pillay spearheaded Endemol’s Creative and Production expansion with a list of successful TV series including Big Brother Africa, Isidingo, Survivor South Africa, Fear Factor, Project Fame West and East Africa, All You Need Is Love and Deal or No Deal, Gospel Supertars, Ultimate Braai Master S8, Real Housewives of Cape Town.
He also led as Executive Producer on over 130 major TV series and commercial deals in Africa over an 8 period spanning 2008-2016 and acted as a judge in SABC3’s 2002 hit series Coca-Cola PopStars.
In 2016 Pillay decided to further fuel his passion for Music, Creativity and Technology in the form of 360 Degrees South and Zero Gravity TV & Media. As an experienced and seasoned content leader, Pillay aims to connect Africa’s best creative ideas with the world and with the highest production standards.
He spent two years as CEO of Trace Studios in 2022 and 2023.
Sivan Pillay is also an accomplished musician with two solo albums released under the pseudonym The Eskimo Writer.
Pillay’s career started in EMI Music South Africa as International Label Manager and Promotions. He worked with artists in SA including Roxette, Vanessa Mae, Foo Fighters and Radiohead. He also managed local tours with Luther Vandross and Michael Learns to Rock. Pillay then signed the SA rock band Watershed in 1998. At age 25, Pillay went into television with media agency Synapse and then Endemol SA.

He previously served as Commercial Business Leader and Enterprise Business Digital Transformation Director at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
A seasoned business and technology executive with about two and a half decades of experience, Kayode is widely recognized as a trusted advisor to enterprise and corporate customers across multiple industry verticals, with a proven record of pioneering business-led digital transformation initiatives and building high-growth cloud businesses across the region. He is a strategic leader known for delivering exceptional results through strong collaboration with partners and regional and global tech giants.
At AWS, as a pioneering leader in West Africa, he successfully built and led a $45M cloud business, consistently delivering double- and triple-digit growth while exceeding the demands of the region’s largest enterprise customers.
Prior to AWS, he spent twelve years at Microsoft, where he served as a director. He delivered outstanding business performance, driving year-on-year growth across business verticals and contributing significantly to the expansion of Microsoft Nigeria’s business from $30M to over $150M within three years. He managed quotas of up to $42M, achieving high double-digit growth across licensing and professional services, and received both regional and global awards for device adoption excellence.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Zenith Bank as Unit Head (Manager) for Messaging, Security, Collaboration, and Software Datacenter. He played a pivotal role in the bank’s digital transformation, helping position Zenith Bank as Nigeria’s leading digital bank through the deployment of key digital channels—including ATMs, Valucard, telephone, internet, and mobile banking platforms—as well as enterprise security, collaboration, and messaging solutions.
Kayode holds an Executive Master’s degree from IE Business School, Spain, with a focus on Digital Transformation and Innovative Leadership, and is an alumnus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, where he earned a BTech in Computer Engineering. He is also an alumnus of INSEAD and Wharton Business School, holds over forty professional certifications—including in Artificial Intelligence—and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).
